I Have Had a Short Story Published

You are never going to believe it but I have one (1) short story being published today in the delightful litmag Cagibi. It is a story about centaurs and language and NorCal and lonely nerdy kids. It’s called “A Concise Grammar of Conversational Centaurish.” So in lieu of a Real Post on here today, I would be supes honored if you would read my weird little story at Cagibi right now, this very minute. Or later, if you want. Or never. It’s free to read.
Not to get too earnest and navel-gaze-y on here, but I have been trying to get this particular story published for seven (7) years. So if I keep succeeding at this rate with my [shuddering] other stories, I should have enough journal publications for a first collection by approximately my 101st birthday. You will all be invited to the launch party.
I guess that makes me a Late Bloomer, if you count getting a single story published in a small journal to be “blooming” in some way. Perhaps you, too, are a Late Bloomer. Perhaps you would like to start a Late Bloomers motorcycle club with me.
Thanks.
